Who We Are
Eindana Energies is a newly commissioned distillery purpose-built to convert surplus rice and broken rice grains into high-grade fuel ethanol. Located in Andhra Pradesh's agricultural heartland, our facility is designed to the highest standards of process efficiency, environmental compliance, and community partnership.
We are fully equipped to supply ethanol directly to Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) under India's Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) programme, contributing directly to the nation's E20 target for 2025.

How It Works
From raw rice grain to premium fuel ethanol — our six-stage process ensures maximum yield, quality, and sustainability at every step.
Sourcing broken rice & FCI surplus grain from local mandis and government depots
Rice is milled into flour, slurried with water and treated with alpha-amylase enzymes at high temperature
Glucoamylase enzymes break dextrins into fermentable glucose sugars in temperature-controlled tanks
Yeast converts glucose to ethanol over 48–72 hrs in sealed fermenters, producing a wine of ~12% ABV
Multi-column distillation concentrates ethanol to 95% azeotropic strength, separating impurities
Molecular sieve dehydration removes remaining water to achieve ≥99.9% anhydrous fuel-grade ethanol
Rice-Based Ethanol
Surplus Rice Feedstock
India produces over 120 million tonnes of rice annually, generating significant surpluses held by the Food Corporation of India (FCI). These surplus stocks — including broken rice, damaged grain, and non-food-grade paddy — are ideal feedstock for ethanol production, offering a cost-effective and abundantly available raw material without competing with food supply chains.
Anhydrous Ethanol Production
Anhydrous ethanol produced from rice is blended directly with petrol by OMCs (Indian Oil, BPCL, HPCL) to create E5, E10, and E20 blends. This reduces crude oil imports, lowers tailpipe emissions, and provides octane enhancement without engine modifications for modern vehicles. Our facility supplies directly to designated OMC depots under fixed-price government contracts.
High-Starch Rice Crop
Rice contains 65–75% starch by weight — among the highest of any cereal crop. This translates to an ethanol yield of approximately 410–430 litres per metric tonne of rice, making it one of the most productive grain feedstocks available. Combined with India's low procurement price for FCI surplus rice, the economics are highly compelling for distillers and the government alike.
CO₂ Recovery & Co-products
The ethanol process generates rich co-products: Distillers' Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS) is a high-protein animal feed sold to poultry and dairy farmers. CO₂ recovered from fermentation is purified for food-grade industrial use. Spent wash is treated and converted to bio-compost or biogas via anaerobic digestion — ensuring a near-zero-waste operation.
Blend Specifications
Our ethanol meets IS 15464 specifications for anhydrous fuel ethanol — the mandatory standard for blending with Motor Spirit in India. The fuel is denatured with 0.05% pyridine or methanol as required under excise regulations before supply to OMCs.
Environmental Commitment
Our advanced effluent treatment plant ensures no liquid waste is discharged into water bodies. Spent wash undergoes anaerobic digestion and bio-composting, with treated water recycled within the process.
Rice plants absorb CO₂ during growth equivalent to what is released during fermentation and combustion — making grain ethanol broadly carbon-neutral. Our biogas recovery further offsets fossil fuel use in operations.
Biomass-based steam generation and biogas-powered boilers reduce our dependency on grid electricity. A 500 kWp rooftop solar installation supplies process lighting and auxiliary loads.
We partner with 2,000+ rice farmers across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, offering direct procurement at MSP-linked prices — ensuring fair returns and reducing post-harvest grain losses.
DDGS is marketed as premium cattle and poultry feed. Rice husk from milling fires our biomass boilers. Fermentation CO₂ is captured and sold for carbonation and refrigeration industries.
Annual sustainability reports, third-party environmental audits, and real-time emissions monitoring ensure we remain accountable to regulators, investors, and the communities we operate in.
Government Framework
Our operations are fully aligned with India's National Biofuel Policy (NBP 2018) and the revised targets under the Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) Programme — positioning us as a direct contributor to India's energy self-reliance mission.
